About Vertex
The repetition of simple geometric shapes is a daily part of our environment. Vertex Regular, a geometric Gujarati typeface, features a right-angled, simple, and structured character. It is designed as a display font.
The project aimed to develop a font family in the Gujarati script. Its objective was to understand and create type forms through analogue and digital means, with the aim of developing a keen sense of form and detail that is useful for aesthetic and functional considerations.

The Process
I started by exploring calligraphy to grasp the forms and proportions of the script. Immersed in Ahmedabad's artistic and cultural ambience, I delved into the captivating hand-painted lettering. This study offered insights into the unique qualities of Gujarati script. Drawing inspiration from bold, geometric letterforms, I meticulously sketched and analyzed their intricate details, uncovering their essence of form and proportion.
